Being back in DC, I’ve begun taking photos of the area again. The results have been very slow to be forthcoming due to the rolls of film being unfinished. This one sat around the house for two months waiting for the final images to be taken and another week for processing.

I was walking through the park the other week to meet a friend and came across this bag. It was empty but it has a photo of food on it.

It’s strange to see this moment frozen, having seen it in person. Strange to watch the emotions of people escape in that split second. Standing there in person, I did not notice the clown let his smile down. I simply noticed him look away for some reason. Yet we have this.

Sometimes you don’t have time to focus. Sometimes that works out just fine.

For some reason most years start out incredibly busy. Work is bustling and it’s everything I can do to keep up with life outside of work. But soon it will start to warm up and hopefully there will be more leisure time to be spent.

I’ve been a bit distracted lately…

Last time I looked it was Monday. Seriously, this time of year time cannot go any faster without skipping entire months. What’s worse is we have a lot to get done in the next few weeks. Hopefully we can keep up with things in the meantime!

We’re on vacation for the week, driving all around the East Coast in a rental car. Hope everybody’s having a happy Thanksgiving!

It’s fall in Columbia and as nice as it looks outside I have been trying to push myself to take more photos lately. The trouble is I spend 95% of my time outdoors somewhere between work and home (where this photo was taken) and the other 5% at the grocery store. While I did manage to start on a roll of Kodachrome, I have yet to get very far on that roll. In the meantime I’m trying my best to remember to pull out my phone and take more photos which, oddly, hasn’t been very easy.
