Film from the Marshall Derby. I had a hard time trying to figure out what camera to bring with me to the derby. I needed to figure out how to work with the light changing half way through shooting, among other things. Instead of finding a more versatile film solution, I simply picked a camera I could be done using when it became too dark: the 6×9 folding camera—or a camera with only 8 frames. And yes, I finished all 8 frames before it became dark out.

This is the first stage in my design update. (Thus the delayed post.) I’m still working on figuring out exactly where I want to go with this.
