I’m still working on shooting from the hip. It’s very hard to judge, especially with a 75mm FOV. One nice thing, though, is that sometimes you have a nice surprise. The down side is that many photos come out as a big disappointment from what you envisioned. Focus is almost impossible and you either have to use the priority modes or take a guess on exposure. Sometimes post processing can help hide these slight mistakes, but a photo that’s “almost there” can be a big disappointment when looking to use them for other purposes.
